What does Reflexologist do?

Reflexology is a form of massage that involves applying various levels of pressure to the feet, hands, and ears. Reflexologists work with patients to help alleviate pain and strain in their lives. They use therapeutic massage exercises to relieve pressure points in the hands and feet of patients. Some reflexologists also work with pressure points around the ears. By reconditioning the nerve, a reflexologist helps the affected body part function better and, over time, improve overall health. The reflexologists eventually aims to help a client's body achieve homeostasis, the condition in which all aspects of the body, organs, cells and tissues function in harmony. A reflexologist does not diagnose conditions or diseases, nor does they prescribe medication. They also do not treat specific conditions or diseases; she simply treats different reflex areas of the body to reduce stress and allow the body to heal itself.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Acupressure and Reflexology same?

Ans.: They are similar yet not the same thing. While reflexology uses reflexes that are in an orderly arrangement resembling a shape of the human body on the feet, hands, and outer ears, acupressure uses over 800 reflex points that are found along long thin energy lines called meridians that run the length of the entire body.

Are Reflexologists certified therapists?

Ans.: Yes, Reflexologists are certified therapist (only if they’ve pursued a proper qualification in it)

Is working for an organization preferred more than freelancing?

Ans.: According to my opinion, reflexologists should prefer a freelance business rather than working under someone. Working alone gives them the space to gather more clients and doesn’t limit their earnings.
