A retail sale is the purchase of finished goods and services by consumers and businesses. These goods and services have made it to the end of the supply chain. These goods are then distributed to the retailers. The retailers sell them to the consumer. Retail literally means “the sale of goods or commodities in small quantities directly to the consumers”
RETAIL SALES JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serves customers by helping them select products.
Drives sales through engagement of customers, suggestive selling, and sharing product knowledge
Manage financial transactions
Processes payments by totaling purchases, processing checks, cash, and store or other credit and debit cards
Alerts management of potential security issues
Assists with inventory, including receiving and stocking merchandise
Keeps the client informed by notifying them of preferred customer sales and future merchandise of potential interest
Responds to customers questions
Documents sales by creating or updating customer profile records
Directs the customers by escorting them to racks and counters
Provides outstanding customer services
