About Architecture

Architecture is the profession of designing buildings, open areas, communities, and other artificial constructions, usually some regard to aesthetic effect. Architecture often includes design or selection of furnishings and decorations, supervision of construction work, and the examination, restoration, or remodeling of existing buildings.

B.Arch. eligibility:

To get admission into Bachelor of Architecture, students must fulfill the following conditions

  • Students should have completed class 12 or equivalent with minimum 50% marks along with compulsory subjects

  • Students should have completed class 10 +3 year diploma course in any stream from a recognized university/board/institution

  • Cleared NATA with 80% marks conducted by council of architecture

Some colleges take admission on the basis of other architectural exams as well, so it is not compulsory to give NATA.


  • It is the study and application of different streams such as Humanities, Environmental Studies, Mathematics, Engineering, and Aesthetics for studying different aspects about architecture.

  • Includes course work in the form of theory subjects, studio, research work, project work, and assignments which makes the course curriculum creative, interesting and interactive.

After under graduation one can either opt for a job or pursue with post graduation. The minimum eligibility for an M.Arch is a Bachelor’s degree in architecture with a minimum aggregate score of 50% completed from a recognized institution.

Is NATA exam difficult?

ANS: So overall passing the exam is not difficult at all. As for scoring something above 120 to get a chance in a top notch government college is a little difficult. But hard working can lead you to success.

What subjects do you need to do be an architect?

ANS: Subjects that are included in the course are math (geometry, algebra, trigonometry, calculus), science (most likely physics and engineering), statistics and computer science (3D modeling and linear programming) and arts (such as drawing and art history)
