ANTHROPOLOGY:

Anthropology is the systematic study of humanity, with the goal of understanding our evolutionary origins, our distinctiveness as a species, and the great diversity in our forms of social existence across the world and through time. It is the scientific study of humans, their behaviour and societies in the past and present. In anthropology major students learn about human difference in all its biological, historical, cultural and linguistic complications.


ELIGIBILITY:

Minimum eligibility for this course is an intermediate qualification with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or Mathematics as main subject with a minimum of 50% marks.


WHO ARE ANTHROPOLOGIST?

They are scientists who study the development and behaviour of human beings throughout the world present, to help better understand humanity as a whole. They examine biological, archaeological, linguistic or socio cultural traditions, depending on their area of expertise.
