Who is an Aerospace Engineer?
Aerospace engineers design aircraft and propulsion systems, and study the aerodynamic performance of aircraft.
What do they do?
● Perform engineering duties in designing, constructing and testing aircraft, missiles and spacecraft. May conduct basic and applied research to evaluate adaptability of materials and equipment to aircraft design and manufacture. May recommend improvements in testing equipment and techniques.
● Formulate mathematical models or other methods of computer analysis to develop, evaluate or modify design, according to customer engineering requirements.
● Plan or conduct experimental, operational or stress tests on models or prototypes of aircraft or aerospace systems or equipment.

Branches of aerospace engineering:
Aerospace engineering is the primary field of engineering concerned with the development of aircraft and spacecraft.
It has 2 major branches: Aeronautical engineering and Astronautical engineering.
Aeronautical engineers: They are involved primarily in designing aircraft and propulsion systems and in studying the aerodynamic performance of aircraft and construction materials.
Astronautical engineers: They work with the science and technology of spacecraft and how they perform inside and outside the earth’s atmosphere.
